Just wanted to let you all know that you should log on to La Purisima Golf Course and join their e-mail club. They occasionally print coupons for special play rates..The last one was for $100.00 for 4-players w/golf cart...thats a good deal. La Purisima is in Lompoc, just above Santa Barbara..

I just noticed that SCNGA was a sponser at the Gardena Golf Tournament...Where were they when SFV had a large tourney in September?? I must be missing something.. See you all on Thursady the 28th..I wouldnt miss it..

The Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple is celebrating it's centennial next month and is having a golf tournament at California Country Club on Monday, October 25th at 10:00. The cost for this is $120. The Peoria system will be used to determine winners. Lunch will be served after the event. 9/16/02 To SCNGA: I am extremely disappointed to learn the Nisei Week low gross Champion was determined by a "card-off". I always believed that the golfer(s) who has/have the best gross score should be recognized properly as this is supposed to be the best SCNGA golf tournament of the year. Additionally, the reward (pay-off of prize) for the loser was not equitable for such a fine round of golf. I realize the logistics of having a playoff to determine one champion is always difficult, however, I truly believe that co-champions should have been determined for the two golfers who had exceptionally great rounds of golf.
